When the right paw is raised it is said to invite wealth and good fortune. A cat with both paws raised is said to be inviting protection of the owner’s residence or place of work.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 3,000 of the 2018 Lucky Cat 1oz Silver Proof Coin.
The design features a white lucky cat with its right paw raised for wealth and good fortune. The coin includes the Chinese characters for “ushering in wealth and prosperity”, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date, and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
The coin is delivered in an amazing presentation case featuring a figurine of a lucky cat waving its left paw. The case sits within a themed box and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
